Position Reports to: Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Background: 

To support the government of Indonesia in implementing their initiatives to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates, Momentum Country Global Leadership (MCGL) project will start the project implementation in NTT province as well as at national level.  To ease the coordination between MCGL and the Ministry of Health RI, as the main counterpart of MCGL, MCGL will recruit an office administrator for the MCGL-MOH secretariat.  Other than to ease coordination with the MOH for the MCGL project, the office administrator will also act the same role for the other Momentum Project, called as Momentum Private Health Delivery (MPHD).

Scope of Work :

MCGL works closely with USAID and the Ministry of Health (MOH), particularly the Family Health Directorate; while MPHD works particularly with Quality and Accreditation Directorate. The Office Administrator reports directly to MCGL Deputy COP and works administratively to support effective collaboration amongst and between MCGL, MPHD, USAID, the MOH, Indonesia’s (GOI) goal of reducing maternal and newborn mortality. S/he is responsible for the following specific tasks:

  • Maintain the secretariat office communications and coordination with MOH office—particularly the Family Health Directorate and Directorate of Quality and Accreditation—and ensuring are conducted accordingly and documented well.
  • Provide administrative support to program activity including clerical duties such as filling, answering phone calls, responding to emails, preparing documents and organizing place for meeting.
  • Contributes to keep respected relationships with MOH staffs and other MCGL and MPHD Project Stakeholders.
  • Assist coordination of project deliveries.
  • Works closely with the MOH administrative staffs and assist operational activity needs, whenever needed
  • Contributes to regular communication and reporting on project approaches and successes.
  • Other duties consistent with the overall focus of the position as assigned by the DCOP.

Skills and Experiences Required :

  • Minimal bachelor degree in public administration or any other relevant background with 4-5 years of working experience on office administration
  • Understand clearly the MOH organization structure and the official procedures of communication and coordination between units in the Ministry and with other institutions.
  • Having sufficient knowledge on MNH and working experience in any MNH related project
  • Excellent skill in preparing official letter in Bahasa Indonesia
  • USAID- and/or other donor-funded health sector programming experience required
  • Experience working with government, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to work in complex environments with multiple tasks, competing priorities, and short deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skill in Bahasa Indonesia
  • Professional spoken and written English, preferred
