Overview:

The Finance Officer will support the Director of Finance in the implementation of Jhpiego finance activities for Momentum and Momentum Private Sector project, USAID-funded maternal and newborn health (MNH) project in Indonesia. She/he will ensure that the financial systems are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement Jhpiego financial policies and procedures and adhere to USAID rules and regulations
  • Review payment documents, including the completeness of supporting document from all satellite offices in Province/District
  • Process the payment in electronic banking and routing them for approval
  • Review travel authorization request and staff travel expense reports from Momentum Jakarta staff
  • Review advance activity budget and reconciliation report of Jakarta staff
  • Review vendor invoices of Jakarta transaction
  • Establish and maintain cash controls
  • Monitor outstanding cash advances and take necessary action to reconcile advances
  • Review and conduct spot-checks of financial documents from provincial/district offices
  • Monitor bank balances, review the entire receipt of payment on bank statements
  • Support procurement team in monitor the completeness of procurement documents (purchase requests, purchase approvals, payments)
  • Work closely with Procurement officer regarding the exempt tax process
  • Review and conduct surprise check on the petty cash
  • Work closely with other finance and admin team member in implementation of operational Momentum project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor /S1 Degree Finance /Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience with accounting for INGO or USAID-funded awards or contracts, specifically in project budget development and financial reporting
  • Understand of Indonesia Tax Regulations
  • Familiar in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
  • Experience in using e-banking and familiar with the banking system
  • Fluency in written and oral English is strongly preferred
  • Diligent, honest, and mature worker, capable of managing workload under pressure
  • Able to work independently and under minimum supervision, and also as a member of the Finance and Administration team
  • Excellent analytical thinking
