MEAL Assistant Consultant

Job Objective/Summary

The MEAL Consultant will work directly with the direction of the MEAL Coordinator on the process of planning and implementing the M&E system so that it can run smoothly, accurately and on time according to the work plan program. MEAL Consultants will also verify data and reports obtained from Partners as well as monitor project locations. Establish good cooperation with field staff and partner staff to support the planning and implementation of project activities to achieve the set targets. MEAL Assistant will directly report to MEAL Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitoring of Project (50% of time spent)
   • Provide support for the collection and processing of project data, including disaggregated data of beneficiaries, project achievement, and other related data;
   • Provide support for creating and updating M&E Tools in Kobo/Odk format (mobile survey);
   • Providing support for monitoring visit and supporting project activities in project locations.
2. Data and information management (30 % of time spent)
   • Provide support for updating and verifying the beneficiary database (disaggregated data);
   • Provide assistance to partner organizations, complete and document the required data.
3. Accountability & Learning (15% of time spent)
   • Updating the CFRM (Complain Feedback and Response Mechanism) database
   • Update the documentation of project activities.
4. Other management responsibilities as required (5% of time spent)
   • Other assignments as required by Supervisor, Program Manager or Sulawesi Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, with component of social, statistical or mathematics preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the field of M&E.
• At least a basic understanding of statistical tabulation;
• Ability and willingness to travel to and stay in remote locations preferred.
• Good ability to operate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Good ability to operate Mobile Survey (ODK / KoBoCollect)
• Willing to conduct monitoring to the project sites.
• Domicile in the Central Sulawesi region, preferably those domiciled in Palu City.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to work individually as well as in teamwork.
